Buenos Aires Guide
Getting around
Buenos Aires may seem like a daunting city to get around, but it's actually served by an extensive and inexpensive public transport service. The easiest part of the system to navigate is undoubtedly the underground rail system, or subte (short for subterráneo), which serves most of the city centre and the north of the city. You may also want to familiarize yourself with a few bus routes, as buses are the only form of public transport that serve the outlying barrios and the south of the city. This said, taxis are both plentiful and cheap, and you will probably find them the most convenient means of getting where you want to go.
