The small city of ALBURY and its smaller twin Wodonga, across the Murray River in Victoria, are traditionally regarded as a stopping point en route between Sydney and Melbourne. The Hume Highway now cuts through the twin cities on a new freeway, but drivers tempted to shoot straight through miss out on a bustling district with a pleasant atmosphere and a few key sights.
