Although it's not part of the European Union, Montenegro's unit of currency is the euro – coins come in denominations of 1c, 2c, 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, €1 and €2, with notes as €5, €10, €20, €50, €100, €200 and €500. At the time of writing the exchange rate was £1: €1.25 and US$1: €0.70.
