One of Kuopio's highlights is an evening at the world's biggest woodsmoke sauna, an enormous unisex affair which can hold well over a hundred people. Its size is such that it takes 24 hours just to heat up ). For €29 you can avail yourself of an inclusive deal combining sauna and a traditional Finnish feast – these amazingly tame evenings also feature "lumberjack shows," replete with accordions, flannel shirts and hordes of tangoing and waltzing Finns.
