Vanha Ylioppistalo
The Vanha Ylioppistalo (the Old Students' House) is where the Finnish Students' Union is based, owning what is now some of the most expensive square metres of land in Finland and renting them out at considerable profit. In the Vanha, as it's usually known, is the Vanhan Galleria (during exhibitions usually 10am–6pm; free), a small gallery with frequent displays of modern art. It's worth becoming acquainted with the building's layout, as it contains a couple of lively bars which are worthy of an evening visit.
