Kaivopuisto park

The large and rocky Kaivopuisto park was developed in the 1830s as a health resort, with a spa house that drew Russian nobility from St Petersburg to sample its waters. The building, another of Engel's works (although greatly modified), can be found in the middle of the park's central avenue, today pulling in the crowds as a restaurant.
