Located on the banks of the River Wye in the middle of Herefordshire, HEREFORD is a sleepy, rather old-fashioned sort of place with a very proud possession, the extraordinary medieval map, Mappa Mundi. Its former home, the cathedral, forms the main focus of architectural interest, with the 700-year-old map now housed in its own building adjacent.
