Port Elizabeth's airport ( 
041 581 2984) is conveniently situated on the edge of Walmer suburb, 4km south from the city centre. Taxis rank outside the airport and the fare to the city centre is around R35.
The train station ( 041 507 2662) is centrally located, with buses departing from the rank directly across the road. The Baz Bus will drop you off at any central location or accommodation. Arriving by intercity bus, you alight at Greenacres shopping mall in Newton Park suburb, 3km from the centre, served by Translux, Greyhound and Intercape. As for regional bus services, Minilux ( 043 741 3107) runs buses between East London and PE via Grahamstown four days a week.
