Prokletije range near Plav
With their razor-sharp peaks, plunging paths and deep glacial valleys, these are the Prokletije Mountains, the most remote mountain range in Europe. Montenegro’s highest peak is here, Maja Kolata, at a heady 2582m, while its bigger brother Maja Jezerces (2964m) is nearby, on the Albanian side. It’s a popular spot for hikers, who come for the peace and quiet, breathtakingly beautiful views and challenging trails.
